Poet

Amy

You fell in love with the darkness

You gave us your heart, body and soul

That soul torn asunder and

Splashed across the daily rags for all to see

Vulnerable and exposed.

Honest, nothing but.

Hot summer, Camden nights

Finally emerging from the darkness,

Your new thirst for life.

You died at your best

And now we wake up alone.

And now you haunt me

Like the deep dark night you left behind.

My jewel now hung in ghastly night.

Moonlight streaks blue beams,

Across Camden Square, now empty

Missing its most precious jewel.

Darkness covers you Amy,

Living in the shadow with

The ghost of the silver moon.

Every night I am haunted

By that jewel hanging in ghastly night.

More precious than the silver moon beams

That delight my soul.

Who was that eternal deathly drink for

On that last wretched night,

Amy?
