Natasha Haidar
Poet
Banaz
Banaz had the bravery, the strength and the courage of 10 men
So beautiful you could look at her forever
Pure and innocent like a lamb
Her soul more precious than diamonds
But born amongst the basest devils.
There was no honour in her killing
So terrified but so strong she fought for her life
And would not die quick.
You have no honour, you are cowards only
No heroes in your homeland.
I am haunted by your face, by your voice
The desolate echo you left behind is deafening.
I am so sorry no one saved you Banaz
There was no honour to save.
Just a wretched, infinite loss remains.
No one can harm you anymore,
Beautiful girl.
