How Did We End Up Here

I ask you

As we lie naked entwined

After a year and a half absence

You lack an answer

As I ponder the destiny

Of our fates

Of our meeting

As you lie in my arms once more

I stroke your flame streaked hair

Laughing, adoring you Northerner

A long absence

A long distance

But we are pulled together

Stronger than two polar magnets

Sparks flying

Heat, passion, intensity

Gripping each other tightly

Devouring our souls

Our fates bound

Together for an eternity

Burning bright igniting consuming

Our passion lives on

An intensity not felt

With any other soul

So I yearn the more for you

As you depart

Mourning your absence

As I now mourn your silence

Come back to me

Come back to my sanctuary
