Poet
Sunset and Sunrise
Joyfully I watched you rise, my privileged sun
I watched you both rise
But anger invades such privilege and screams:
Whosoever is the chosen one
Is luckier beyond ever they'll know
And by God I'll make them know.
My heart is aflame and my soul is defied
All elements fight against my casement as we speak
Will I be around to watch you set, now that is the question
But tempestuously my anger floods and flares
And in the ripples bemoans this reflected message:
I say you have caused a great affront!
Get up and advance to the window
Feast your eyes on my privileged sun
A most unvalued but precious star
And make days on earth all the more heavenly.
