Poet
Brief Encounter
Watching, my friend witnessed the brief encounter
That day I was neither here nor there
Aimlessly floating towards the abyss
Turning from Heaven's orb
Only he could catch me at Orpheus' gate
Eyes of the damned
All gazed upon such a rare radiant presence
Willing Nature's fairest handiwork to redeem them
But faithfully it was me that he chose
Omniscient, my friend smiled at the brief encounter.
